Rochefort lends it names from the fortree (rocha fortis) built on a rocky spur by the first lords of Rochefort, the Montaigus.
This beautiful town of Val de Lesse is situated in an exceptional, natural environment and cleverly makes use of its historical past.
The tourist train enables visitors to embark on a discovery of Rochefort along an enchanting route through natural heritage (panoramic view of the "Rond du Roi", the Cave of Lorette etc.) and history (Château des Comtes, Lorette Chapel and the Gallo-Roman archaeological park).

Visit times: 11am, 1pm, 2.30pm and 4pm (5pm if min. of 6 tickets purchased:01/07 to 31/08)
Tour of the town with bilingual commentary.
Take the E411 (Bruxelles-Luxembourg link) or take the E42 (Tournai-Namur link) and then the E411. Take exits: 22 towards Beauraing and Rochefort or 22a towards Lavaux-Ste-Anne or 23 towards Han/sur/Lesse and Rochefort. Then, take the N4 (Liège-Marche link) anf follow signs for Rochefort.
Car park situated 200m away for site.
Train departure point: in front of the Tourist Office situated in the town centre.
A range of shops, restaurants and cafés nearby.
