The Comines-Warneton Tourist Office offers you this walk that visits First World War remembrance sites and historical locations.
Leaving from the Plugstreet 14-18 Experience Interpretation Centre, visitors discover the catacombs, Ploegsteert wood and Hill 63 (le Mont de la Hutte), craters left by mine explosions, the site of the 1914 Christmas Truce, with the Saint Yves cross regularly decorated with football related objects, numerous British cemeteries, creator of Old Bill Bruce Brainsfather's cottage, the plaque in homage to Winston Churchill, etc.
The marked trail is lined with information board that give it a great educational dimension.
This walk is also adapted for groups with historical events and anecdotes through the Ploegsteert wood.
