Country walk/hiking

The walk goes entirely through forests. The western part of the trail, as well as the shortcut goes over asphalted roads. The rest of the trail goes over gravelled roads. You start at the Ancien Moulin (Old Mill) of Mirwart which is located down in the valley at 240 m. You climb up towards the plateau of the Bois du Smuid which reaches its highest point at 400 m. Then you gradually descend and you take a gravelled road which follows the valley of the Lomme. This Ardennes river filled with salmon and trout meanders in a closed in valley which is sometimes edged by rock outcrops. Along the entire trail, you will find 12 large educational boards which give explanations on the forest, archaeology, history and local legends.
