PROMENADE DU MARTIN-PECHEUR

Easy trail. Runs alongside and crosses the Mehaigne, tributary of the Meuse. This watercourse has great ecological riches: it is home to pikes, kestrels and ...kingfishers of course. Also with a rich historical heritage: the castle of Marotte (1725), the mill of Braives (1758), the mill of Vélupont, the ancient "France Taverne" where barley beer was served, and the "tumulus du champ de la Tombe" (burial ground from the first century of our era). A beautiful walk in a beautiful region.
