LE TOMBEAU DU CHEVALIER

Herbeumont will be the point of departure of this little escapade. For quite some time you will walk on the pastoral banks of the Semois, more precisely the meander that gave its name to the place: Tombeau du Chevalier (Tomb of the Knight). Then, upwards to the ruins of the ancient castle. The walk up is not so difficult, and the splendid view will definitely make up for the effort.

From Namur or Brussels, take the motorway E411 to Arlon. Get out at Libramont-Chevigny (exit 25) and take the N46 to Bouillon-Sedan. 9km further, turn left to Bertrix. From there, go to Herbeumont. The shortest and fastest road goes past Cugnon and Mortehan. Park you car in the centre of the village. By train, line IC Namur-Luxembourg, change at the station of Libramont, and take the railcar to Bertrix.

Due to an act of vandalism, the viaduct is closed. You will have to go through the route de Florenville to start the walk.

Length of the trail: 10 km.
