LES HAUTES FAGNES - LE PAYS FAUVE

On the plains of the Hautes Fagnes we find one of our most diverse natural patrimonies. In such a place man has never been as important as is nature. The reserve covers a vast area of almost 5000 square miles of moors and bogs. 150 days a year these plains are covered in mist and the climate there is cold and humid. In winter, temperatures of -20 degrees are frequently recorded.
