RAVEL 4 : POMMEROEUL - OVERBOELARE : 52,9 KM

RAVeL means specially designed routes, way-marked by the authorities, to offer the visitors more security, comfort and peace and quiet at any time. The used routes are old railway lines, byways and towpaths. The RAVeL 4 measures a little over 45km, starts from Pommeroeul/Bernissart and ends in Lessines (and vice versa). It consists essentially of the towpaths of the Condé/Escaut - Pommeroeul - Blaton, Blaton - Ath canals and part of the Dendre. The majority of this itinerary has its exclusive right-of-way, but there are some connections with normal roads (over short distances).

The RAVeL-route can also be toured by bike.
