Museums in Mons
As the cultural capital of Wallonia, it's hardly surprising that Mons has a rich collection of museums.
Let's begin with the François Duesberg Museum of Decorative Arts, with 2 stars in the Michelin guide, which houses, among other things, a unique collection of exotic clocks.
Be sure to visit the BAM - Mons Fine Arts Museum which has undergone a makeover in order to welcome major events such as the Vincent Van Gogh exhibition in 2015.
An unmissable cultural site to visit in Mons is the Mundaneum, the Archive Centre of the French Community of Wallonia-Brussels and Temporary Exhibition Space.
Don't miss the exhibition currently on at the Mundaneum: Renaissance 2.0, a journey through the origins of the web, organised in partnership with Google.
And if you're a fan of Van Gogh, visit Van Gogh's House, otherwise known as the Maison du Marais, in Cuesmes where you'll discover a specially designed route tracing the life of the undisputed master of Impressionism.
